Dr. Arshia Qasim Ahmad is a neurologist, physician-scientist, and global medical leader whose work bridges neuroscience, disability, caregiving, and the human search for meaning. With over two decades of experience across clinical neurology, neurorehabilitation, and gene therapy development, her career reflects a sustained commitment to restoring dignity, agency, and voice in the face of neurological illness. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Barkaat Art Foundation, an international disability-arts and neuro-humanities initiative born from long-term caregiving following a traumatic brain injury within her family.
